As another special feature of the 2009 Laird Lewis Invitational Tournament, the Myers Park High School Speech & Debate Team is pleased to announce The National II, a Public Forum Challenge Tournament to be held on Sunday, January 11, 2009.

The challenge will be an application registered tournament only with a limited 16 spots. Tournament staff will pick teams based on performance, integrity, and national presence. Only the top teams will be participating, allowing for the best competitors to face off against one another in a huge national event, the only of its kind in the nation.

The tournament will feature four preliminary rounds followed by challenge elimination rounds. The finalists of the tournament will share over $1200 dollars in cash scholarships.
